Banner Advertising

During non-sponsored periods, the majority of our network carries conventional banner ads

We allow our registered members to choose their preferred advertising method. As a result, multiple ad formats are available. 468x60 banners or 300x250 blocks are shown with every page load. Members that instead choose pop-up ads only see one advertisement every 24 hours. To non-members, 468x60 ads are shown. The most effective campaigns use a mixture of these methods.

Plain image, Rich Media, HTML, Flash, and Javascript advertisements are all accepted. For best results, advertisements should be optimized for quick loading. Creatives can be hosted on your own web servers, or hosted on ours at no additional charge.

An online interface is provided through which advertisers can monitor the performance of their campaigns running on TIW. For each campaign, an unlimited number of creatives can be specified. Changes in creatives are allowed at any time during the course of the campaign as well; we want advertisers to be happy with their purchase.

Located throughout our network of sites; always displayed above the fold just below our navigational links. 468x60 banners are shown to non-registered users, and are one of the available choices for registered users.

468x60 Banners (Targeted)

Banners may be targeted to content topics, days of the week, hours of the day, specific pages, and specific keywords. Other targeting can be configured as well.

Campaigns may also be configured to show only a limited number of times to each unique user, or only be shown until a user clicks. Restrictions on the number of ads shown per day or hour are also available.

300x250 Block Ads (Run of Network)

One of our available ad format choices for registered users, 300x250 block-style ads appear throughout the network when selected.

PopUnder Ads (Run of Network)

Registered users have the option to select PopUnder ads instead of traditional banners. When a user selects popup ads, only one advertisement is show them every 24 hours.

PopUnder Ads (Targeted)

Limited popups are shown to non-registered users in specifically targeted areas of TheIdeaWeb.

Currently, only the topic of 'internet / online services' is available for targeted PopUnders.
