Domain Registration

When the world wide web first became popular, only one company was responsible for the registration of publicly used domain names. In 2001, government regulations disrupted Network Solutions near monopoly and allowed other companies to enter the growing domain registration market. As more companies entered the market and registrar competition grew, the price of domain registration plummeted from as much as $35 per year to as little as $6.

With lowered prices and profits, many registration firms became more concerned with alternate methods of generating income. Ad banners and popups were added to their own pages, and to the "parking" pages of registered domains. Customer information was sold, or used for regular marketing newsletters to try to sell additional registrations or products to their existing customer base. In short, registering a domain in some places could simply be annoying. Many domain owners were dismayed. TheIdeaWeb listened to these complaints and started our own domain registration service, Register Idea.

Register Idea offers low cost domain registration for only $10 per year, with absolutely no gimmicks. We don't have a newsletter, we don't resell customer information, and no popups or other advertisements are used. There are no additional fees to maintain your domain, change registrant or contact information, or even transfer your domain to another service. It's domain registration without the hassle.

We don't skimp on features either. Every domain registered comes with great additional features such as URL forwarding, e-mail forwarding, DNS management and more - all at no additional fee.

For cost-effective domain registration that has all the "bells and whistles", but none of the "annoying buzzers" - see www.registeridea.com today!
